- Gulf High School defeated Wiregrass Ranch 5-0 as starting pitcher and leadoff hitter for Gulf, C. Taylor, picked up a win and struck out an impressive 14 batters in seven innings. |
Taylor threw a solid game, working the count and throwing first pitch strikes the majority of the time. Some of the Gulf hitters swung heavy bats, including Andrew Brouillard, who went 2-3 and Tommy Pospisil who went 3-3 with two RBI's.
Wiregrass pitcher Abel Cubero struck out seven of Gulf's batters and gave up eight hits while walking three and hitting one batter. |
