Thursday, April 17th, 2008 - Junior pitcher Jeremy Adel pitched the entire game with 7 strikeouts, but that wasn't enough to stop the Trinity Catholic Celtics in a dissapointing 3-0 loss at Celtics Field Tuesday night.  Having transfered over from Trinity, Adel wasn't going to take his old team lightly.

He held the game scoreless until Trinity's first run was scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 4th.  Another run came later in the inning and the other in the bottom of the 6th.  Against the Celtic's ace Jordan Landry, the Wolves were unable to get anything going on the offensive side, having only 3 hits with a discouraging team .136 BA.  The best offensive drive of the night for St. Francis was when Adel was hit by a wild pitch, Junior Matt Slocumb singled to right field and Sophmore Richie Maris laid down a textbook bunt to load the bases, no outs and start back at the top of the lineup.  Nothing was gained seeing as the top 3 hitters on the lineup struck out swinging.  Landry pitched the entire game as well, striking out 10, 5 of which were in the last 2 innings.

St. Franics has two home games left against Oak Hall and Lake Mary Prep, then they look forward to District playoffs to challenge Eagle's View for the championship for a decent seed in the Regional tournament.
