FSU Bound Sean O'Brien - Clearwater High School Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010 -Sean O'Brien is a 6'3, 180 pound shortstop for Clearwater High School. He is a senior this year and a key piece to the Tornadoes hopes of winning a District title. Last season he hit .347 and held a .489 OBP in 72 ABs. Not only has he enjoyed great success on the field, but has also garnered an impressive 4.6 GPA.
Tornado Back Stop Andrew McCormick - Clearwater High School Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010 - Andrew McCormick, starting catcher for the Clearwater High Tornadoes, is on the rise after a successful sophomore season. He hit .323 with a .413 OBP in 65 at-bats, along with a very impressive .984 fielding percentage behind the plate.
A Prospect in the Making Gus De Quesada - Christopher Columbus High School Tuesday, February 12th, 2008 - Gus DeQuesada is a 6' 1" , 195 lb right-hand pitcher for Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, Florida. He is a Junior and the Ace of the pitching staff. Last season he led the team in ERA (0.79) the second lowest in class 6A in South Florida, strikeouts and saves.

It's a pleasure to feature Jay Taylor with our fist player bio here on the Florida High School Baseball Report. I had the opportunity to coach this young man last Fall on the "Southeast Select." Jay played left and right field for us and did a nice job swinging the bat. In the mean time, this young man has really blossomed.
